This book is amazing! I am neither a mathmatician, historian, or astronomer, but found it easy to understand and highly informative. Even the most complicated parts are explained very well. The most important thing is make sure you keep an open mind and take the book for what it is, the result of years of research based on independant dating methods. I highly recommend this book!

I was probably the first to purchase this hefty book on preorder, but opened it only 2 days ago. I swappped it for potty #7 with my astronomer bookpal and tipped him off how to make easy $10G betting on Almagest. Astronomer read it and returned vol.3 with strong advice not to bet $10G. I sure won't, Almagest was never my cup of tee and Ptolemy no relative of mine. By now my astronomer bookpal purchased his own copy of Astronomical methods of dating..and I have my own hp7.
