This book is an excellent way to get kids interested in potty training, especially if they enjoy the Caillou series. My kids love the book!

I purchased this book for my 2 1/2 year old son. Caillou is his favorite cartoon. Although the artist rendition of Caillou does not look exactly like the cartoon figures on PBS or DVD's. My son was able to identify with Caillou in the book. That was step one. The more we put him on the potty (along with ready the book to him while on the potty) the less he fought with my wife and me about potty time. We love this book for our 2 year old, who loves Caillou. The illustrations are a bit different from the PBS series, but still recognizable.
The story is very short and some of the conversation seems awkward. But still gets the point across.

This is a nice book for a kid who likes the Caillou cartoon. The drawings are a bit different from the cartoon but still recognizable as the Caillou characters from the show.

It took some discussion to get my daughter to understand that this is the same Caillou that she's familiar with from PBS. Caillou and his family are computer generated in this book and thus they all look drastically different than what she is used to.
That being said, she loves the book. She wants to read it on or off the potty. We improvise a bit with the wording because he "has to go" but no one says what he "has to go", but she likes that part too.
