Of course it has a walktrough, but it's not clear, for example:
*Spoilers*
When you get to Rustboro City, the guide tells you to do everything you need to do, but, it doesn't tell you what to do next. In fact the next page in the guide tells you to go to route 103, but in fact you have to get back through the forest and take the ship to Dewford Town, this has to be realized by you, the guide doesn't tell you.

Could've used a guide on each route telling you what was found on each one, but overall its a good guide.

My kids LOVE this Emerald Guide. It's helped them get all the Pokemon they want and go all the places they want to go.

Well, I really like this guide. It really helps when you finish the game and want to explore all possibilities that you've missed before... I'll complete my Pokedex in no time!
