Product Description: One of the biggest cultural phenomena of the 1990s was a group of four green heroes and their furry ninja sensei. These weapon-wielding warriors exploded onto the scene with attitude and a penchant for pizza, revolutionizing kids' cartoons for over a decade. We are, of course, referring to "the world's most fearsome fighting team" - The Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles! Now approaching their 25th anniversary, and with a recent CGI movie under their belts, the turtles are making a cowabunga comeback in the pages of Archie Comics' new graphic novel: Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Heroes in a Half Shell! Reprinting the original three-issue Archie Comics mini-series from the late 1980s, this pulse-pounding epic tells the story of the turtles' first battle with the evil Shredder and his trans-dimensional ally, Krang, as the sinister duo attempts to conquer the planet and destroy their anthropomorphic foes!

This handy little collection features the first 3 issues of the Archie Comics series, which adapted the first few episodes of the original cartoon. Hopefully, they will continue to reprint these, as the very underrated Archie Comics series of TMNT hits its stride after branching out into its own with issue #5.

What to say...
I love the Ninja Turtles, ever since I first found out about them.
And 2009 sees 25 years of Ninja Turtles. So I was rather pleased to get Archie Comic's offering for the collected volumes of their first TMNT comics. Especially as I missed them the first time around.
It's the first 3 issues of the Archie run comics into Graphic Novel form. And it's just beautiful this walk through memory lane and reliving what's been fun about them.
