This book answered many of the questions I had after reading the book by Stanton Friedman. It gives more credibility that something significant happened in 1947 and the difficult dilemma placed on Major Marcel at the time. Having gone over and over the symbols, as remembered by the author, based on my knowlege of English, French, German, Japanese, Russian and the ancient written forms of the Babylonians, Chinese, Egyptians, Phoenicians and ancient runes, the nearest thing they could represent would ... No new information in this book. When will someone out there have the guts to produce some hardcore evidence that will prove once and for all that aliens have visited (or are living) on Earth? Perhaps there is no evidence to produce because there aren't any Aliens. I happen to believe there is. So come on , somebody , somewhere, produce the proof that everyone is waiting for. The Public IS ready for the truth !!!!

This book is mostly about a sons defense
of his fathers honor and reputation.
A couple of items were brought up about the
sons experiences with this incident but on large
it is a rehash of common knowledge.
The books strong point is that it was written
by the only surviving human to actually have
viewed artifacts from the incident.
The input from his perpective is something you
can't get from ordinary investigators.

It is fantastic to finally get the inside story from someone who was there at the beginning of the Roswell story. Jesse Marcell, Jr. is a great patriot (he still serves in the military as I recall) and if you have even a passing interest in knowing the real story of how it was found, etc. buy this book. Any fan of UFOs will be happy that they did.

What can be said about Roswell that hasn't already been said? The last 20 years have been a morass of competing books, competing belief systems, and accusations of government conspiracy while the government officially 'debunks' the event.
At this point, whether or not you believe in the Roswell incident is moot. Minds have long since been made up. What Jesse Marcel Jr.'s book does for us is to put a human face on the incident. And by that, I mean, he gives us solid background information ... Read More
