I love this book. It's funny, well-written & filled with common-sense stuff like "7 Reasons to Leave the House Each Day." If only I'd had this when I was a Rookie Mom. At least I have it as my mainstay baby shower gift. Every mom I've presented it to loves it.

My son was 7 mo. old by the time I found this book, and I'm kicking myself for not having picked it up sooner. It's packed with age-appropriate activities for mom and baby, things that really would have come in handy on those "I'm tired of staring at the new baby but afraid to try something new" days. This book is not what I expected it to be. It's full of suggestions for what to do when your baby is asleep. This is a bit laughable to me. One of them suggested trying on all of your shoes, deciding which ones 'no longer fit your lifestyle,' and giving them away. I think this could cause depression as one at least wants to think that there is a future for those high heels again at some point.
