This contains a run-down of all the Gundam series up Turn-A. While some of those like me have already seen all the shows and know everything in the book, most people have not. Younger viewers of shows like Gundam Wing and Gundam Seed who wonder what the earlier shows were about should get this guide before they decide to commit their time to a series. Gundam: Official Guide is an agile and not very exaustive book about the Gundam universe. But it covers all the series (apart the newest Gundam Seed) with short description, analisys and illustartions. Best of all: it's in English, so you'll can understand what's written inside :)

This guide was good, but some of the reviews I read here didn't give me a good picture of the actual product I would receive. Not ALL the characters of a series were showed, but enough background story and character information was written to develop a basic grasp of the many Gundam series and movies that have not yet been released in the US. The "Gundam Official Guide" is a must have for all Mobile Suit Gundam fans! I really suggest you buy it. It has info on all of the Gundam TV series', OVAs, movies, and the live action movie "G-Savior"! Also, it has information on the different Gundam video games and comics / graphic novels!!!!
