Editorial Review:

Description:
This hip, edgy thriller -- in the electrifying tradition of SCREAM, SCREAM 2, and FROM DUSK TILL DAWN -- delivers a howling good time with a hot young cast of stars! On the loose in Europe, three wild college grads from America bring their "Daredevil Tour" to Paris in search of some serious fun. There, Andy (Tom Everett Scott -- THAT THING YOU DO!) falls for the beautiful and mysterious woman of his dreams (Julie Delpy -- THE THREE MUSKETEERS). The only problem is ... when the moon is full, Andy's dream girl turns into a total nightmare! Rocking with a cool soundtrack featuring today's hottest cutting-edge recording artists, AN AMERICAN WEREWOLF IN PARIS is an outrageously thrilling adventure you don't want to miss!

Amazon.com:
On the strength of his Hitchcockian-thriller debut, Mute Witness, writer-director Anthony Waller was hired to direct this belated sequel to the 1981 horror comedy An American Werewolf in London, but lycanthropy in the City of Light just ain't what it used to be. The movie offers plenty of gruesome makeup and special wolf-transformation effects, and there are some effectively spooky moments in the plot involving an underground population of hungry Parisian werewolves. One of them is seductively played by Julie Delpy, who is rescued from attempted suicide by an American tourist (Tom Everett Scott, from That Thing You Do!) but ultimately can't hide her dual identity when darkness falls and the full moon shines. The movie begins well, but gradually succumbs to nonsense and mayhem, prompting critic Roger Ebert to observe that "here are people we don't care about, doing things they don't understand, in a movie without any rules." In other words, you'd have to be a die-hard horror buff to give this one the benefit of the doubt. --Jeff Shannon

Rating: 2 out of 5 stars - Pretty Bad Werewolf Flick
This movie is sequel in name only to the werewolf classic film "An American Werewolf in London". The plot is silly. The bad guys are goofy rather than menacing. The ending has to be one of the lamest that I have ever seen for a horror movie. The only things I liked about this movie were the werewolf effects and the delicious Julie Delpy. This movie was made in the 1990s and stands as proof that the decade served as a dry spell for good horror films. Buy at your own risk!!

Rating: 3 out of 5 stars - Why does everyone hate this movie?
Okay, it's not the best horror movie, or werewolf movie, or even in the top 25. I agree that the acting isn't that great, hey I agree with most of the negitive points that other reviewers made about it. However, I still like it, and I watch it when it comes on TV. I guess I'm one of those people who can suspend judgement and get into some movies that don't make sense, and I wonder what that really says about me?

Rating: 3 out of 5 stars - They should have used real werewolves!
I never watched the original movie. So I'm not biased. But I thought this movie was funny and entertaining. However, the CGI werewolves that they made in this movie look really bad. That's why I'm giving it 3 stars instead of 4!

Rating: 2 out of 5 stars - Yuck; they should have left well enough alone
I was eager to see this movie, having loved the original "American Werewolf" movie; but was sadly disappointed. I didn't care at all for the characters, the humor was missing completely and generally it stank up the screen. Mark me off if you don't agree - I know you rude lot will anyway - but that's my story and I'm sticking to it.

Rating: 1 out of 5 stars - Dull overexageration
An even though it's fiction, the incidents seem to fall out of the movies context to become contrived. Boring nonsence on a teen hormone kick.
