Product Description: The soldiers of Armageddon are on the march, laying waste to worlds in their passage. An audacious plan could stop them forever, but it carries risks that one starship captain is unwilling to take. For Captain Jean-Luc Picard, defending the future has never been so important, or so personal -- and the wrong choice will cost him everything for which he has struggled and suffered.
For Captain William Riker, that choice has already been made. Haunted by the memories of those he was forced to leave behind, he must jeopardize all that he has left in a desperate bid to save the Federation.
For Captain Ezri Dax, whose impetuous youth is balanced by the wisdom of many lifetimes, the choice is a simple one: there is no going back -- only forward to whatever future awaits them.
But for those who, millennia ago, had no choice...this is the hour of their final, inescapable destiny.

I have just finished the trilogy and have been blown away by the ending (i won't spoil it, suffice to say, it's awesome). This has to be the most audacious piece of Trek fiction i have ever read, whoever comissioned this must have had some guts, because it could so easily have blown up in their face. This i believe will become highly controversial (if it hasn't already) as a result of the ending. My only qualms were that the pace was a bit too slow in places and that i can't help but feel it would ... Read More

I loved this book, I loved this trilogy. I hope David or another author continues with Captain Dax. I will however miss the Borg, they have always been my favorite race and it is hard to imagine a Star Trek without them. I was fully satisfied with the way everything came about. The only negative I have about this trilogy was the lack of Voyager. They are mentioned and used only a few times but never a main part of the story.

I read all three books in this series and enjoy them all. Sometimes it was not easy reading a chapter since we are dealing with numerous ships and crews. But it was worth it reading them all. The author did a super job.

I read this book as slowly as I possibly could. I tried to savor every word of this novel, every tear-inducing sentence, every heart-pounding paragraph...but it still flew past my eyes in a flurry of frantic page turns as my anxiety to reach the climax of the Star Trek: Destiny trilogy surged to a maximum. It was too much. Before I knew it, the book lay at my feet, finished, done.
This book is unmatched by any Star Trek novel I've read before. I'd have given it six stars if that were possible. ... Read More

Its sad to pick this book up, knowing its the last of the series. By this time I think everyone had figured out the inevitable conclusion, if not the exact mechanics of working it out. Its still a great read. Coming to the end of it, I wish David Mack could write all the follow ups as he really did add some dimension to what I thought had been a stale franchise. I havent purchased the next book, just because I know it will be dissapoint compared to Davids epic trilogy.
