Product Description:
They are the Earth's most revered protectors: Reed Richards, Susan Richards, Ben Grimm, and Johnny Storm -- the Fantastic Four. Celebrities around the globe and defenders of mankind, these extraordinary individuals have sworn to confront the perils and challenges facing the modern world and each other, always with unyielding courage, unerring wisdom, and an unshakable familial bond.

But their darkest hour may yet be at hand, as humanity's most frightening threat comes violently from beyond the stars...from the depths of the Negative Zone, a universe in a dimension parallel to our own -- one first discovered years ago by Reed Richards himself. And it is this terrifying and deadly menace that will ultimately test the measure and mettle of four heroes sworn to protect the human race at any cost -- even their own lives....

Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - An authentic adaptation and a skillful novel
I learned to relatively read late in a child's life around 4-5 years old, from a combination of the Old Testament and Marvel Comics. Both have remained close to my heart. I always had a warm feeling for the FF, probably because they seemed the most fallible of the super heroes, and yet somehow the most together, despite agonising personal issues. A bit, I suppose, like some in the Old Testament.

Here we have one out of three new novels about them following the successful movie. That ... Read More

Rating: 4 out of 5 stars - War Zone (Fantastic Four)
War Zone was in my opion a good read. Some other reviews on this book have been bad, but was better then other marvel novels I've read. The bad guys in this book are common Villains in the F.Fs world and stay close to their story lines.I must admit that some parts were boring, but didn't last more than a few pages.I give this book a good review and would tell true F.Fs fans to read this book. I am a fan of the 1960s F.Fs comic and the newer comics of F.F and if you like them then you will like this ... Read More

Rating: 4 out of 5 stars - War Zone a Flashback to the Good Ole' Days
Fans of the FF will be pleased with this book, especially if you have been a fan for a long, long time. The writing closely relates to Stan Lee's style of the 60's & 70's but does stay current such as with Reed & Sue's children; Alicia no longer dating Ben, etc.

I'm at a loss to all the negative reviews here. IMO, this book is enjoyable and offers a new direction for Marvel outside comics and cartoons (and of course the movies). I've been a fan of the FF since the 1970's and being ... Read More

Rating: 3 out of 5 stars - (Not Quite) Fantastic Four
Fantastic Four : War Zone
This book has gotten some harsh reviews, and I think that is unfortunate. It is by no means a great book, but I think it lives up to the comic book status of a novel. Reading FF: War Zone was very much like reading a comic book. There were some deficiencies: the Invisible Woman is supposed to be powerful, yet in this book, she seems to be too timid and unsure of herself, the Thing is still scary to too many people, and there could have been more character development. ... Rating: 2 out of 5 stars - You'll Fall Asleep Reading This
When it was announced that Marvel was relaunching their series of novels, they decided to go with Fantastic Four. Don't get me wrong I love the Fantastic Four just like the next person but War Zone by Greg Cox doesn't give the relaunch a good start and here's why.

First off, there's little or no character development. Half the novel has Sue Storm, her son and Alicia stuck in a resturant while the other half are in another dimension and one all alone to fend off the Baxter Buliding all by ... Read More
