Product Description: The first half of artist George Pérez's 1980s run on JUSTICE LEAGUE OF AMERICA is collected in this new hardcover featuring issues #184-186, 192-194 plus Pérez's very rare JLA postcard set! Don't miss the team's battles with Darkseid and The Secret Society of Super-Villains, as envisioned by the artist of FINAL CRISIS: LEGION OF THREE WORLDS!

I used to own all these comics back when I was a kid. How I have missed them! These are great stories featuring all of my favorite Justice Leaguers plus the JSA and New Gods. George Perez's reputation as an amazing artist is well deserved. My favorite has to be the animated Tarot story at the end.

As stated in the forward, George Perez illustrated less than a dozen issues of the Justice League. Why then do we have a hardbound volume containing only six issues, and commanding a pretty stiff price tag to boot?
I have some lavish memories of these stories as a kid. They were some of my earliest comic purchases. I've been wanting to see them collected for a long time, and this may well be the first time some of these stories have been reprinted. But dividing such a small number of ... Read More

This was my first - and last - purchase of the "Classics Library" sight unseen.
The problems:
1) The "New Gods" themed JLA / JSA team-up is missing part 1, because George Perez did not draw it - as those interested in this book may or may not know, Perez took over JLA after the untimely death of Dick Dillin. I realize Perez did not draw part 1, but it should have been included regardless - particularly at this price point.
2) The product image represents the ... Read More

Everyone knows what a great comic artist George Perez is. Unfortunately the new DC Library series continues to be a rip-off. This book (as another reviewer mentioned) does not contain ALL of the George Perez JLA issues. Nor does it contain both of the JLA/JSA team-ups that Perez drew. This is only volume 1 of a two volume set. The book is overpriced. I paid $31 on Amazon for the book and it reprints six issues and a few pages showing Perez' JLA postcards from 1984. Definitely not worth the money ... Read More

"The entire run of 1980s JUSTICE LEAGUE OF AMERICA stories illustrated by top artist George Pérez is collected in this new hardcover"
This is stated in the editorial review and is simply not true. The Perez run is split into two volumes, which would be reflected had amazon listed the full title or shown the actual front cover. This volume only contains Justice League of America #184-186 and 192-194.
Don't get me wrong, I love the stories in here. The stories themselves would ... Read More
