Editorial Review:

Product Description:
The complete 12-part saga from SUPERMAN #'s 204-215 written by Brian Azzarello (100 BULLETS) with sensational art by comics' hottest artist Jim Lee (BATMAN: HUSH, ALL STAR BATMAN & ROBIN, THE BOY WONDER, Uncanny X-Men) collected together for the first time in the oversized Absolute format!

A cataclysmic event has struck the Earth. Millions of people have vanished without a trace. No one is left unaffected -- not even Superman! But after a year, Superman is left with many questions. For a hero who tries to have all the answers, it's torture. And, just as the action heats up and the stakes are raised, one huge question emerges: Just how far is Superman willing to go "For Tomorrow?"

This Absolute edition includes an all-new cover by Lee, a Jim Lee Sketchbook, and other bonus features.

Rating: 2 out of 5 stars - Greatest Superman story ever? Are you kiddng me?!?!?!?
This has to be, hands down, one of the most confusing Superman stories I have ever read. Basically a collection of the 12 part mini series of the same name, this thing HURT. As already covered, a lot of the essential plot devices don't come together until later in the series, and even when it happens, you wind up saying... "HUH?!?!?" I'm not going to sit here and spoil it for those that actually want to read it, you brave souls... but I will basically sum up my BIGGEST problem with the story with ... Read More

Rating: 4 out of 5 stars - This book is very odd.
This is a tough book to love. First of all it barely functions on its own--the story directly follows events in the Superman issues that preceeded it, which depicted mass "vanishings" of people from all over the world, including Lois Lane, and Superman's inability to stop that or even understand what was happening. So if you haven't read those stories, when you start reading this book it takes few chapters for you to get over the "huh??" factor. Add to that the non-linear storytelling and you get ... Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - Quite possibly the most super Superman!
Brian Azzarello is an amazing writer. This story is written amazingly.

Jim Lee may very well be the best comic book artist of our time. He may be the best artist for comics, ever.

Together, these two create one of the most exciting Superman stories ever. Azzarello finds a way to challenge the man of steal, without reaching too much. Jim Lee always does justice to the heroes. His work on Batman was the best Batman has ever received, and I think the same can be said for Superman. ... Read More
