Rating: 4 out of 5 stars - Superman: Godfall
This graphic includes Adventures of Superman #625-626, Action Comics #812-813, and Superman #202-203.

The story itself is fairly good. Not a lot of the familiar characters, although Lois shares a great moment with Perry where they both dance around Clark's other identity without outright admitting to anything. Most of the book is set in Kandor, a city Brainiac rescued from Krypton before the planet exploded and stored in a bottle, which is now in Superman's Fortress of Solitude. Superman ... Read More

Rating: 4 out of 5 stars - A Great Superman Story
Superman: Godfall is one of the best books I've read in a while, and definitely one of the more reader-friendly titles. I say that because the foreward fills you in on what's been going on in the Superman universe with a nice synopsis, so that you step right into the story without missing a beat. Superman: Godfall continues out of the AWFUL issue of Superman # 200, but it's not essential that you read that issue. It picks up the story with Superman supposedly on Krypton, in the midst of a civil war. The story is pretty good, with some great art (although the costume of Kal El's 'wife' is very questionable for a kid friendly icon like Superman, and almost prevents this from being a tale for all ages). One of the main flaws is that Superman has been missing from Metropolis for weeks, and when he finally ... Read More

Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - Simply Divine
I remember when I first spied a few issues in this series (scattered across different Superman iterations), and my first question was naturally "Does Michael Turner do the inside too?"

Ever since I got a taste of Michael Turner's art style in the AWESOME new Superman/Batman, I've been in love. But so often he's merely the cover artist for other things, not penning the entire issue. Imagine my sadness, then joy when he said "No. But it's done by his inkist, so it looks almost identical."!
