Editorial Review:
Product Description: Wisdom from the Batcave analyzes the life philosophy that emerges from Batman comic books. In 18 entertaining chapters, the Batman's example is used to teach profound truths. Focusing on relationships with self, others, and the larger community, the comic panels and Batman-family characters are utilized to illustrate how to live a better life.

This book was great to read. I don't have a lot of time to read, so the quick, to-the-point chapters were fantastic. The book was better than I expected. I have already recommended this book to many people, including people who are not Batman fans so-to-speak. The ability for the book to have meaning to someone who isn't the biggest fan in the world speaks to how well it was written. I gave the book a 5 star rating, and I think everyone should have the opportunity to read it at least once.

For anyone who needs a reminder on how to live a meaningful life, this quick, fun read provides the basics. Rabbi Friedman speaks to all of us - this is not a religious book, but a spiritual one - in a simple, uplifting, inspiring manner.
A terrific book for young people looking for direction.

Hear an interview with Wisdom from the Bat Cave author Rabbi Cary Friedman on The Book of Life podcast's September 2007 episode "Seeing Through New Eyes," at www.bookoflifepodcast.com!

I love this book! Clear and concise, Rabbi Friedman lays down a compelling argument, not only that comic books can be a valuable reference for lessons in life, but that one needn't be talented, smart, or extraordinary in any way in order to achieve goals and inspire others.
With a telling style and subtle (mostly) humor, Rabbi Friedman ennumerates the many personal and interpersonal struggles that we encounter within our everyday lives, and how we can overcome them.
