Ihave been a long-time lover of Chuch Connors in the "Rifleman" in particular. I am very happy with my purchase. The book arrived in perfect condition.

What do you know. A sort of Marxian analysis--I mean that in a good way--of the TV western's origin and place in the 50's. Of course, this analysis is specific to The Rifleman which differed from the competing genre fare in important ways. Episodes are recounted for their cultural origins and reflections interwoven with bio on Chuck, Johnny, Sam Peckinpah, and that way too cool 44-40. This work also contains an episode list. Small book, nicely produced, photos. Recommended for the thinking fan.

The book may be somewhat misleading...as I suspected it was a tradepaper large edition; however, it's about the size of a 5X7 photo and a very thin book...overall a fine read just the same.
