This definately wasn't what I expected and I'm thankful for that. The creators really sought after a story that would be familiar, but unfamiliar at the same time. We see metaphors for later events in Wolverine's life. We also have some unexpected twists, like how Wolvie is a yuppie twerp in the first stages of his life. First u have to know that this isn't a story about the origins of wolverine adamentium bones, its a story about his childhood and how he become our very loved character. Also it reveals the first manifestations of his powers.
As for the story, its filled of emotions, not much action, and it leads u step by step into the becoming of wolverine from a small, fragile and scared rich child to an animal. The perfect drawings and coloring make this whole story even more beautifully and likable. This ... Read More

If you're anything like me, your favorite part of the Wolverine movie was its first five minutes. Something about seeing a young Wolverine on that old, Canadian estate was just... awesome. It felt surreal, romantically gothic in nature, almost like a companion piece to Mary Shelley's "Frankenstein."
The same can be said of this book, except take that feeling and amplify it tenfold. This book really focuses on that era of Logan's life, but also expands it, fills it in, and explains things a little ... Read More
