Product Description: A searing vision of Spider-Man's future, brought to you by superstar Kaare Andrews (Incredible Hulk). They finally did it. Kicked them to the curb. The "capes and tights" crowd - there's no place for them in the Big Apple anymore. Peter Parker? He can't even remember what it was like to don the red and blue, and swing through the night sky. Doesn't want to, anyway. After all, there's nothing left to fight for, is there? That is, until an old "friend" appears on Peter's doorstep, bearing a package and a message - and everything changes. If it's not Peter's responsibility, then whose is it? Collects Spider-Man: Reign #1-4.

Before i ordered this from Amazon, i read the reviews. So im not gonna tell wether this story is familiar or copy of DCs storys, im just gonna tell u my experience from reading it.
First of all i deducted one star because of the drawing, i just couldnt get used to the style this comic was drawn, though i enjoyed the combination of realistic background and colored drawing of characters.
The cover is perfect, and it perfectly fits this HC eddition.
As for the story, well its stunning. ... Read More

If you've read any of my other reviews, you know I don't like to summarize the story, and give things away. In that spirit, I'll only give away the premise of the story. Reign takes place years into the future where Peter Parker (Spider-Man) is old. But being old, is not the reason why Peter hangs up the Spider-Man gig. His life-long love, Mary Jane, dies of cancer from the radiation that gave him his "Spider-powers." Out of guilt, he retires, and lives alone in his apartment, while New York, crumbles ... Read More

Where are they now.
I'm a person that wonders what happens to the sports star, movie star and public figure after the lights go off and the world moves on.
This was a story of Peter Parker after everything goes wrong.
I enjoyed this very much and recommend it to any Spiderman Fan.

This book came highly recommended, so I thought I'd give it a try. Unfortunately, there's no gentle way to say this; I want my money back. The story--despite obvious parallels to "Batman"--is OK, but the main problem here is the artwork. Frankly, most of the panels in this book look like they were doodled on a napkin then halfheartedly colored in. While the story attempts to be gritty and semi-realistic, the artwork is goofy and cartoonish--representing a huge conflict between what this story wants ... Read More

This is a dark death filled story most of the characters die in it. that's said it's also a very moving story a touching one with a simple yet somehow so fitting art work for it.
I couldnt put it down before finishing it, which I can't say about most of the comics books I read lately.
