This is an great beginning to a great series. Richelle Mead draws you in from page one. I was reluctant at first, a shape-shifting succubus that sleeps with men to suck the life from them? But after reading this book, I was hooked. I find myself wanting to read the story over again even though I know what happens. I definitely recommend this book.

I honestly don't know why I picked up this book. The blurb on Amazon made it sound like Laurell Hamilton's Princess Meredith if she had taken a left and gone down cutesy chick-lit lane.
I had resigned myself to a too, too precious wanna be witty read complete with me rolling my eyes and wondering "was I really that bored?"
