Product Description: The Star Trek: The Next Generation® Technical Manual, written by Rick Sternbach and Michael Okuda, the technical advisors to Star Trek: The Next Generation, provides a comprehensive schematization of a Galaxy-class starship. From the bridge to the shuttlebays, from the transporter room to crews' quarters, this book provides a never-before-seen glimpse at the inner, intricate workings of the most incredible starship ever conceived.
Full of diagrams, technical schematics, and ship's plans, the Star Trek: The Next Generation Technical Manual also takes a detailed look at the principles behind Star Trek®'s awesome technology -- from phasers to warp drive to the incredible holodeck.

Must-have-book for any TNG fans! It's fun go back every now and then to take a look. Great source of inspiration for designers.

The Good:
The information is well detailed
The Bad:
Only covers the Enterprise D and does not include much else. This is Star Trek The Next Generation Technical Manual and not Star Trek: Enterprise D Technical Manual. One would think that it would have technical information on most everything having to do with The Next Generation but this is not so.
The Ugly:

Quality product, helped me solve a typical trekkie dispute.
The shipping was a little bit slow but still within the advertised time frame.

Sure they took a little license here ... Read More

Tech Manuals are rather dull as they go, but I enjoyed this book. I'm somewhat of a newbie to Star Trek, and indulge in the technical side. Which is why I bought it(not from amazon). I enjoy reading everything in it. I wish it were in full color though.
