This book has an excellent story about the forming of the League. This story is about aliens based off the White Martians, while other origin stories have been about Starro the Conquerer or the Appelexians. In this League, Aquaman has been replaced by Hawkgirl, Hal Jordan by John Stewart, and Barry Allan by Wally West, who's even been given a different personality. This book has the same story as Justice League Episode One: Secret Origins a.k.a. Justice League: The Movie.

If you've seen the opening origin episode of the Justice League cartoon on Cartoon Network, you'll know the story that this novel tells. It follows the action verbatim, adapting the three parts of that tale into a single book. But, it also adds some details in the narrative, things subtly missing from the animated adventure itself. For viewers of the show only, it adds a little depth into these heroic characters. For that alone, it is worth recommending to the fans of the show.

I own this book and I think it's cool! It's based on the Cartoon! I think that kids WILL like it too!
