Yes, it's the same old worn out thing, Margaret. Don't get too caught up in the military credentials on the cover. The problems: (1)Interviews are incomplete and or woefully lacking in beneficial detail, (2)Gaps in understanding of context and circumstances at the time, (3)Important background facts about the military's organization, units, and people involved are absent, (4)"Witnesses." Who, what, when, where, how, why, and then the big one - So what ? Maybe a good primer for further inquiry.

I was the weak-willed victim of a tourist trap when I bought this unworthy book, during a pass through Roswell on a cross-country vacation. I found Roswell to be a really fun town, with a good sense of humor as the locals cash in on their town's notoriety, in a jovial tongue-in-cheek fashion. If you can make money off fun-loving tourists (like me) then more power to you. But I also noticed the hardcore fringe side of Roswell - the conspiracy theorists and unyielding believers - and that is the source ... Read More

I have always been intrigued by the stories of Roswell and look forward to reading interesting and new information on the subject. This book does not meet any minumum standard of interest. The best word to describe this book is repetetive. I lost count how many times the book quotes Mac Brazel as saying "You know how they talk of little green men?... They weren't green." The book was a very tiresome read and for an interesting subject, never got me interested. The time line is maybe the best thing ... Read More

This was one of the most interesting books that I have read in my life. The story talks about the whole coverup that took place at Roswell New Mexico in the summer of 1947. This was the best book that I read about the event that took place at Roswell in 1947. I have read other books about the Roswell incident but this book had so much more information than those other books. The only thing that was difficult was that the book was pretty confusing. It talked about stuff that happened in 1947 ... Read More

When I read this book I was left with the impression of the perverbial story of "the one that got away". Everytime a new book is written on this subject the story becomes more fantastic. For several years I have tried to find an answer as to why this story will not go away even though there is so much evidence that what was found by Mac Brazel could not possibly be an alien spacecraft. I finally found my answer last July by paying a visit to Roswell NM during their 50th anniversary celebration of the event. ... Read More
