Editorial Review:
Product Description: “I’ve changed a bit since high school. Back then I said no to using and selling drugs. I washed on a normal basis and still had good credit.”
Introducing Laurie Notaro, the leader of the Idiot Girls’ Action-Adventure Club. Every day she fearlessly rises from bed to defeat the evil machinations of dolts, dimwits, and creepy boyfriends—and that’s before she even puts on a bra.
For the past ten years, Notaro has been entertaining Phoenix newspaper readers with her wildly amusing autobiographical exploits and unique life experiences. She writes about a world of hourly-wage jobs that require absolutely no skills, a mother who hands down judgments more forcefully than anyone seated on the Supreme Court, horrific high school reunions, and hangovers that leave her surprised that she woke up in the first place.
The misadventures of Laurie and her fellow Idiot Girls (“too cool to be in the Smart Group”) unfold in a world that everyone will recognize but no one has ever described so hilariously. She delivers the goods: life as we all know it.

This book may have the dubious honor of being the WORST book I've ever tried to read. I say "tried to" because I couldn't make myself finish it.
The only reason I gave it one star is that the system wouldn't let me give in no stars.
Not only is it stupid, and oh so NOT funny, it is insulting in the extremis. The author seems genuinely proud of being one of the Dumb Ones (as she insists on continually pointing out). The only thing that got me thru the first five chapters ... Read More

I bought this book for the title alone. When reading it I found myself laughing out loud. I re-read several sections more than once because I thought they were so funny -- I've also subjected my husband, friends and daughters to my "readings". My girlfriends and daughters get it... my husband not so much. I have looked forward to all of Laurie Notoro's books ever since. I am so glad to find a club, The Idiot Girls' Action Adventure Club, that I can relate too.

There are only few books that make me laugh out loud and this is one of them. She talks about the things we only wish you could share with our friends. Very, Very funny.

I do enjoy Laurie Notaro's brand of humor. This is a lovely beach read.

I'm a fan of Notaro's memoirs, and my favorite is her chapter on bathroom etiquette for the workplace. :)
Enough said.
