Product Description:
Still reeling but rebuilding after Katrina's fury, New Orleans braces for another major hurricane heading her way. But a far greater threat is looming on the horizon—a manmade terror storm that will dwarf the destructive force of anything Mother Nature could have devised.
Following a tip, agent Jack Bauer has come to the Big Easy—and watches helplessly as two prime players representing America's most dangerous Latin American adversaries fall in a surprising hail of gunfire. With winds rapidly approaching gale force, the rogue CTU operative must now follow the blood trail to a completely unexpected source. Because in less than 24 hours, a ruthless enemy hiding among "friends" plans to take out the already damaged Crescent City—and deliver a staggering blow from which the U.S. "Satan" may never recover.

This is, without a doubt, one of the most boring things I've read in my life. Does something happens at all? Jack Bauer spends half the time on a SUV driving around, WAITING for clues, and TALKING to suspects in a sweet way. WHAT??? Is this even Bauer we're talking about? A General escaping from an assasination attempt and what he does to escape gets two paragraphs, while the description of a hat factory gets like 10 pages. Then, if this author really is into that stupid excessive descriptive narration ... Read More

Wost 24 book ever. No, its not a 24 book. Its some sick author's wet dream of a boring detective story with 24 and Jack Bauer sprinkled in once every 90 pages. My friends and I burned this book in my backyard. We made a face book group about it called 24 Burning Day where we will buy a copy of this book and burn it. Some things are not supposed to be seen by mortal eyes.

I'm a die-hard 24 fan, and am responsible for making my share of believers out of disbelievers, where Bauer is concerned. So, when these books began appearing on the shelves, naturally, I had to have mine!
I've read 3 "Declassified" adventures till date, and this book is way at the bottom (and digging!). It is by far the longest book, when in reality, had it been written using half the pages, it would perhaps have made a slightly more bearable reading.
This might perhaps be the ... Read More

I am giving this book by David Jacobs 2-stars because, among other reasons, this title does not fit in with the "24 Declassified" Series. This series, together with the TV series is based on fast-paced action.
This book has serious flaws in the storyline as well. Some items are picked up and dropped and until the very end there is no real mention of the threat that is out there. Also, one page chapters (chapter 24) show how inadeqaute the editing on this book is.

Oh, where to start? This is the first of the 24 books I have tried, and it would appear to be the last. I know that TV/Movie tie-ins are not of the quality of writing that I am used to (Lindsay, Crichton, Flynn, et al), but this has to be the worst writing this side of Sherrilyn Kenyon. Actually, with all the purple prose it really does read like a romance novel, without all the graphic sex and crass language, that is.
I didn't care much for the simplistic story, but the writing is so awful ... Read More
