Jack Bauer is a subject that requires an especially taut script, filled with action, for a full 24 hours, and also with lots of unexpected twists and turns.
"Vanishing Point", though has a good premise, but peters out badly during the execution of that plot. This is the freakin best freakin 24 book I've read so far....I have all of them.....veto power, operation hell gate, cat's claw and this one was the best!!!! I need to buy Chaos Theory Now!!!!! I would buy this book but I already have it!!! Hahahahahahahaha! I can't wait until Feb. for the new one....Collateral Damage!!! And they should definitely make a series of 24 movies.....man that would make $$$$!!!!!!

If you want to see Jack Bauer undercover, playing the role of a *bad dude* in order to catch *really* bad dudes, then don't miss this book. I thought it was a great read.

Putting Jack and his CTU co-stars undercover at a casino in Las Vegas was a risky choice for this 24 novel, but it paid off. Frankly, I applaud this writer for trying something different. Vanishing Point has lots of twists and turns, high-wire threats and violent action, and I enjoyed it.
